Since 1993, International China Concern has been taking teams of people from all around the world to serve in China's orphanages. These teams are made up of people from different backgrounds, cultures, ages and experience -- but all have a heart to care for China's disadvantaged.

The orphanage teams run 3-4 times each year and last approximately two weeks. A two-day orientation period in Hong Kong allows team members to start to build relationships and lays the foundation for the practical ministry in China. The practical ministry involves small groups of team members working with a specific group of children throughout the two weeks. The children range in ages and abilities, from babies to older disabled children.

Who Can Apply?
Those with a nursing, medical, therapy, or teaching backgrounds are welcome. But you don't have to be a professional -- just willing to become Jesus' hands and feet. If you can hug a child, play with a child, pray with a child, or help meet their basic needs then YOU qualify!

Applicants should be over 18 years of age (children accompanied by an adult may be considered).

Over the last few years, dramatic changes have taken place in the lives of the children touched by ICC short-term teams. Each team builds on the one before, making lasting and solid changes, physically, emotionally and spiritually.

How Do I Apply?
Each applicant should complete a Ministry Application Form (including two confidential references) and return it to ICC with the registration fee. Once accepted, you will be given detailed information about your trip.

Team dates change each year, so refer to the Information Page for the dates and prices. Applications close 4 weeks before the commencement date of each team. Team fees cover all major costs for the duration of the team, excluding travel from your home country to Hong Kong.
