Living Stones Village is a residential school and vocational training centre for orphans. Through education and training the children are given the tools to help them integrate back into society when they are old enough. Most of the children have some form of physical disability and so face the double challenge of living in an able bodied world which makes few allowances for those with disabilities. A number of local Chinese are employed as House Parents, and for cooking, maintenance/cleaning and educational staff.

The Training Centre
ICC provide residential training programmes for orphanage workers from all over the province. The skills and experience developed over the last few years is passed on to others to enable them provide a better life for the children in their care. For example therapy for disabled babies and children is virtually unknown in China, but some straightforward exercises and programmes make a dramatic different for the children. These are taught at the Training Centre in such a way that the workers can take something very practical back to help them help the children.

Language Study
Anyone wanting to work with ICC in China long term needs to learn the language. For the first two years they attend language school, with one day a week spent in the orphanage working on various programmes. Those in language school are listed as language learners in the lists above.
